The Bertram Stroock Tennis Tournament is heading on into its final stages this weekend - Saturday and Sunday, September 1 and 2 - and there are a few spots already spoken for in the semi-final rounds.

As of press time, Curt Logan and Bob Gabor have secured spots in the Menâs Open Singles semi-finals and await matches between Bob Elliott (#1 seed) and Tim Hanley as well as Bruce Ratcliffe and Bill Meier.
Diane Gucciardo (#1) and Stella Gabor have grabbed spots in the Womenâs Open Singles semi-finals while the Allison Healey-Diane Collins and Elizabeth Young-Julie Stern matches have yet to be decided.
In Menâs Open Doubles, the semi-finals will feature Bob Gabor and Dom Nocturne taking on Leon Barkman and Gene Bernard and Jim Larin and Hugh Lavery battling Curt Logan and Mike Lynch. The Womenâs Open Doubles semi-finals will feature Diane Collins and Dawn Nacewitz taking on the winner of the Jean Kunkel-Jan Lavery and Michelle Logan-Susan Tibbetts match. Diane and Kristen Gucciardo will battle Caitlin Martin and Kathleen Martin for another semi-final slot.
In the Mixed Doubles, Bob and Lauren Elliott (#1) will take on the winners of the Bruce Martin-Caitlin Martin and Hugh Lavery-Jan Lavery match. Curt and Stephanie Logan, meanwhile, will take on the winners of the Chris Martin-Kathleen Martin and Bob Gabor-Stella Gabor match.
In the Menâs 55 Singles, Gene Bernard and Hugh Lavery will square off in one semi-final while Fred Steiner and Jim Larin will face off in the other.
As for the Saturday schedule for the semi-finals, Menâs 55 Singles will take place at 9 am, Menâs and Womenâs Open Singles at 10:30 am, Menâs and Womenâs Doubles at 12 noon, Mixed Doubles at 1:30 pm, and Menâs Open Singles consolation at 3 pm.
In the finals on Sunday, Menâs and Womenâs Singles will take place at 9 am, Menâs and Womenâs Doubles at 10:30 am, Mixed Doubles at 12 noon, and Menâs Singles consolation at 3 pm.
The finals of the Victor Coopersmith Memorial Junior Championship will be held on Sunday, September 2, at 8:45 and 10:30 am. The Boysâ and Girlsâ 10-and-under divisions will square off first, with the Boysâ and Girlsâ 14-and-under divisions to follow.
