Pasta Dinners Begin Again

The first monthly Pasta Dinner of the season will be held September 1 at the Newtown United Church’s lower hall, 92 Church Hill Road in Sandy Hook. Donation is $8 per adult, $7 for seniors, and $3.50 for children.

Dinner includes fruit cup, tossed salad with choice of dressings, pasta with choice of sauces (meatless, mild or spicy), garlic bread, soft drink/coffee, and a selection of homemade desserts.

At 7:45, directly following dinner, live music also returns to Fellowship Hall. Newtown United Methodist Coffee House features Newtown’s award-winning bluegrass musician Roger Sprung, who performs with his friends and several other jamming band members. This is a wonderful, wholesome evening of good pickin’, singin’, and participation by all who attend. The musical event is also appropriate for family and/or adult entertainment.

The entertainment fee is $3 with dinner, or $4 for anyone who would like to visit the hall for the performance only. The fee covers the music, which usually runs from 7:45 to 10:30 pm, and also includes refreshments available during the performance.
