BRIDGEPORT — Dr Craig McPherson, director of electrophysiology at Bridgeport Hospital, will be the speaker at the September 12 meeting of Heart Beats, Bridgeport Hospital’s cardiac patient support group. His topic will be “Saving Dick Cheney – Was His Defibrillator Defective?”

The meeting is free and open to the public, and starts at 7:30 pm in the hospital’s second floor cafeteria. Free parking is available in the hospital garage outside the main entrance. For information, call 384-4441.

Dr McPherson received his medical degree from Tufts University in Massachusetts and performed residencies at Tufts New England Medical Center and Yale-New Haven Hospital. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and electrophysiology, and is an associate professor at Yale University School of Medicine.
