‘Partners In Crime’ Series

Mystery lovers take heart. The Cyrenius H. Booth Library’s popular mystery series will begin again on Tuesday, September 25, at 7:30 pm when Liz Arneth, Marian Wood, and Mary Maki lead a discussion on Robert Parker’s A Catskill Eagle, which happens to begin with a jailbreak.

The theme of the series is “Partners in Crime.” The group will share ideas on how different teams in mystery books work together to solve a crime.

Other selections in the series, which is sponsored by the Friends of the Library, will be S.J. Rozan’s Bitter Feast on October 16 and Kate Charles’ Evil Angels Among Them on October 30.

The series will culminate in another visit from author Marcia Talley on Monday, November 5. Ms Talley gave a witty, imaginative presentation last year on the art of mystery writing. This time she will focus on one of her newest endeavors, being an editor for and a contributor to a collaborative mystery entitled Naked Came the Phoenix, written by best selling mystery authors such as Nevada Barr, J.A. Jance, Faye Kellerman, and Laurie R. King. The book was recently featured in a full-page ad in The New York Times Book Review.

Ms Talley will also bring along writer Kate Charles, whose stories are set in England. She will also speak about mystery fiction.

The books will be available in the library.
