The Newtown Choral Society, a non-audition community chorus directed by Mary Andreotta, announces Philip Crevier will join the group as accompanist for its winter concert.

Crevier retired from a 45-year career as an insurance software engineer in 2021 and is in his 27th year as organist/pianist at Newtown Congregational Church. He previously accompanied the choral society for the 2002-03 season. He was also a member of the New England New Music Ensemble, which performed at several area venues from 2015 until 2019.

Newtown Choral Society welcomes enthusiastic singers of all ages and skill levels, high school age and up, and offers a supportive environment.

Rehearsals are Wednesdays from 7-9 pm, with the first rehearsal for the Saturday, December 14 winter concert scheduled for Wednesday, September 25, at Newtown Congregational Church, 14 West Street.

Concerts take place at Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street. (The Choral Society is not affiliated with any religious group.)
