William E. Terwilliger, 72, of Port St Lucie, Fla., previously of Danbury, died August 15, at his home. Mr Terwilliger was born in Bridgeport, the son of Emma and Allen Terwilliger.

He was employed by Perkin-Elmer for many years and moved to Florida ten years ago.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Kniffen Terwilliger of Florida; two siblings, including Gail Verrilli and her husband Gerald of Newtown; four children; 12 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his former wife, Nancy Hedine.

A memorial service will take place Saturday, August 28, at the Forest Hill-Byrd Young & Prill Funeral Home in Port St Lucie, Fla.

Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of St Lucie County, 100 Savannah Road, Fort Pierce FL 34982.
