Courtney & Christopher Papallo
Courtney Hunter MacRae and Christopher Thomas Papallo were united in marriage by the Reverend Janice Touloukian on May 29, 2010. The ceremony and its reception were both celebrated at The Riverview in Simsbury, Conn.
The bride, a daughter of Gary and Michelle MacRae of Newtown, was given into marriage by her father. Carl Lindquist of Sandy Hook, a friend of the brideâs family, also offered the couple a special blessing on their wedding day.
For her wedding day, Christine selected a strapless fit and flare silky satin silhouette gown in ivory from the Casablanca Bridal collection. She carried a bouquet of hot pink short stemmed calla lilies surrounding by green cymbidium and hydrangea.
Her matrons of honor were her sisters, Darien Grover of West Point, N.Y., and Jessica Sousa of Rowley, Mass. Their dresses were watermelon-pink one shoulder floor length, featuring a cascade back, and their bouquets were a blend of green hydrangea, green cymbidium orchids, and pink peonies.
Bridesmaids were Krystal Kelley of Raynham, Mass.; Danielle Lingo of Brookfield; Kara Kunst Gioielli of Danbury; Rabiya Ansari-Johnston of Newtown; and Brittany Richard of Manchester. Their dresses and flowers echoed those of the matrons of honor.
Christopher is a son of Michael and Louise Papallo of Rocky Hill.
His best man was Christopher Fritsch of Meriden. Ushers were Brian Papallo of Rocky Hill, Chase Kesilewski of Meriden, TJ Stevens of Meriden, Jesse Shalett of Brookfield, Brian Coroso of West Hartford, and Derek Dehm of Milford.
In addition, Emily and Kayla Sousa, nieces of the bride, served as flower girls, and William Grover, nephew of the bride, was the ring bearer.
Courtney is a 2001 graduate of Newtown High School, and a 2005 graduate of the University of Connecticut, where she earned a bachelorâs of science in education from NEAG School. She continued her studies, and earned her masterâs in special education the following year, also from UConn. She graduated magna cum laude, and as a member of Pi Lambda Theta International.
She is a seventh grade special education teacher at John Read Middle School in Redding.
Christopher is a 2001 graduate of Maloney High School in Meriden, and a 2005 graduate of Keene State College with a bachelor of arts in psychology. He is a member and a former chapter vice president of Psi Chi, the National Honors Society of Psychology.
While working as lead project manager for sales, marketing, and operations for The Allen Group in Norwalk, Christopher is also continuing work on his masterâs. He expects to graduate in 2011.
Following a honeymoon trip to Europe, where they traveled to Amsterdam, Paris and Bordeaux, the Papallos have returned to their home in Brookfield.
