Teikyo Post’s English Language Institute

Schedules Fall Program

WATERBURY — For nonnative speakers of English who want to improve their communication skills, Teikyo Post University’s English Language Institute (ELI) fall program is being offered at both the Waterbury campus and Danbury site from September 7 to December 16. Students may register now for fall courses. Classes are $300 each and held days and evenings in Waterbury and evenings only in Danbury.

A new Advanced English-As-A-Second-Language (ESL) Business Certificate is also being offered for students wishing to improve their communication skills in the workplace. By taking two of the three business classes — “Accent Improvement,” “Business Communication,” and “Business Presentation Skills” — students receive the certificate. This fall, TPU is offering “Business Communication” to help students improve workplace communication, presentation skills, and meeting participation.

The ELI program — for international students, au pairs, professionals, and community members — offers small classes and qualified, experienced ESL teachers. Among the offerings are: Basic and Intermediate English Communication classes, Intermediate Writing and Reading courses, Advanced Discussion Seminar, Business Communication Course, TOEFL preparation and testing, Private tutorials and customized classes for schools, corporations, and other organizations. TPU’s English Language Institute also provides on-site professional development and educational programs for companies seeking a global advantage.

To register for fall courses or to arrange a corporate visit, contact Caroline Lieber, ELI director, at 203-596-4646 or email elc@teikyopost.edu.
