Newtown Resident Places Fourth In National In Leadership Conference

Colleen Gantnier of Newtown was among six recent graduates of Henry Abbott Regional Technical Sschool who represented the State of Connecticut in the 40th annual Leadership and Skills Conference in Kansas City, Mo. Colleen placed fourth in the nation in culinary skills.

Rich Stebbins of New Milford, Bill Fitch of Bridgewater, and Adam Woodruff of New Preston placed fifteenth of 94 competitors in Automated Manufacturing.

Amanda Fairclough of New Milford, who repeated representing her trade area for the second consecutive year, placed fourth in the nation in sheet metal.

Bill Deak of New Milford placed fifth in the nation in residential wiring.
