Mary J. Potok
Mary (Janosko) Potok, 86, of Newtown, died on August 19 at the Pope John Paul II Health Care Center in Danbury.
Mrs Potok, a homemaker, was born in Bridgeport to the late Michael and Susan Janosko, and had been a lifelong area resident before moving to Newtown two years ago.
She was a member of St Johnâs Church and its Motherâs Club and Senior Citizens, as well as a member of the Baldwin Center. She was the widow of Andrew Potok.
Survivors include her beloved son, Kenneth Potok and his wife Frieda of Newtown; three grandchildren, Beth Bonanuito and her husband Greg, Brian Potok and his wife Michele, and Benjamin Potok; two step-grandchildren, Aaron Johnson and Michele Witko; two great-grandchildren, Alex and Annie Bonanuito; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services took place on August 23 in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford, and in the Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church of St John the Baptist, Bridgeport, for a Requiem funeral service.
Interment was in St Johnâs Cemetery, Stratford.
