Phillip A Zenley, son of Susanne and Carl Zenley, has entered basic cadet training at the US Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo., in preparation to enter the first academic year at the academy. The six-week, two-phased orientation program trains men and women to meet the rigorous mental and physical challenges of a cadet. Philip is a 2004 graduate of Newtown High School.

Lauren McCusker, daughter of Mark and Patti McCusker, graduated cum laude on May 22 from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., with a degree in psychology.

Jessica L Omasta, daughter of Mr and Mrs John Omasta III, received Dean’s List at St Bonaventure University for the spring 2004 semester.

Angel Quinones of Sandy Hook received a bachelor of science in business management from the University of Phoenix online. Commencement ceremonies were held on July 23 in Phoenix, Ariz.

Katrine Parmer Rundlof graduated from Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah, with a bachelor of science in psychology in spring 2004. She is a 2000 graduate of Newtown High School.
