Charles R. Morrissey, 89, of Ocala, Fla., died August 18.

His loving wife of 65 years, Marie Dustin Morrissey; his sister Josephine Ekelund of Newtown; three children; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren survive Mr Morrissey. One daughter predeceased him.

He was a veteran of the US Army and served during World War II. Mr Morrissey was a truck driver and an avid golfer. He was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church.

Funeral services will take place Monday, August 29, at 10 am, in the Hier-Basley Funeral Home, 9695 SW 110th Street, Ocala FL 34481 with Dr Raymond A. Waite officiating. Inurnment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla., with military honors provided by Angela Santos VFW Post #4781 of Ocala.
