Retired Engineering Professor
Pasquale E. DeLuca Sr, 83, of Shelton died August 18 in Laurel Ridge Health Care Center in Ridgefield. Mr DeLuca was predeceased by his wife, Marie Wander DeLuca.
Survivors include three sons, Michele DeLuca and his wife, Donna, of Newtown, Pasquale DeLuca Jr, and his wife, Charise, of Trumbull, and Daniel DeLuca of Shelton; two daughters, Anna Marie Alonza and her husband, Brian, of Oxford and Christina DeLuca of Naugatuck; two sisters, Anna Luciano of Mt Vernon, N.Y., and Clara Pugliese of New Rochelle, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr DeLuca was born in Mt Vernon, N.Y., and was a Huntington/Shelton resident for many years. He was a retired engineering professor at Norwalk State Technical College. He was also an engineer for Moore Tool and Burndy Corporation. A World War II Navy veteran, Mr DeLuca was a member of the VFW Post 10466 and the Tincan Sailors.
Funeral services were held August 23 in St Roseâs Church, Newtown. Interment was in Newtown Village Cemetery.
