Mr and Mrs Matthew Joseph Gendron

Mr and Mrs Phillip J. Frulla of Sandy Hook announce the August 7 marriage of their daughter, Casie Laurel Frulla, to Matthew Joseph Gendron, son of Carol Gendron Gargiulo of West Haven.

The beach ceremony was presided by Justice of the Peace Anthony Brunetti, at a gazebo overlooking the Long Island Sound in West Haven. Alexander Bangit, uncle of the bride, said the prayer blessings. Cleofe Bangit, aunt of the bride, and Aristotle Bangit, uncle of the bride, were the godparents.

A reception was held at the Savin Rock Conference Center.

The maid of honor was Tricia Bangit, cousin of the bride. Evelyn Murphy and Brianna Whitlock served as flower girls.

The bride’s beaded gown, as well as the gowns of the maid of honor and the flower girls, was hand made in the Philippines.

Todd Whitlock, longtime friend of the groom, served as best man. Ringbearers were Jonathan Fragoso, son of the bride, and Justin Gendron, son of the groom.

The groom and the best man wore the “Barong Tagalog,” a traditional shirt made of pineapple fiber, worn by Filipino men for special functions.

Mrs Gendron graduated from Newtown High School and Mitchell College with a degree in liberal arts. She is also a certified nurse’s aide. She is currently employed at For Children Only in New Milford.

Mr Gendron graduated from Platt Tech in Milford. He was an electrician prior to becoming a teamsters member. He is currently employed at the North Haven warehouse of Stop & Shop.

The couple honeymooned at Lake George.
