Emery ‘Jim’    Csehak

World War II Veteran

Emery G. “Jim” Csehak, age 82, a lifelong Bridgeport resident, died Saturday, August 19, at Cambridge Manor, Fairfield. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy Pogasnik Csehak.

In addition to his wife, Mr Csehak’s survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Lynn M. and Raymond Keegan of Newtown, and their children, Jeffrey Thomas and Christine and Chuck Carroll; his son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Karin Csehak of Trumbull and their children, Kenneth (K.C.) and Kristopher Csehak; a great-granddaughter, Tatum Carroll; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr Csehak was a tool and die maker at Dresser Industries, retiring in 1986. He was a World War II Marine Corps veteran, serving in the Guadalcanal Campaign.

He was a bowler with the Fairfield Senior and Golfer League.

Mr Csehak was predeceased by his parents, brothers, and sisters.

Funeral services were August 22 from Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home in Trumbull and in St Andrew’s Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial was offered. Interment with full military honors followed in Mountain Grove of Easton Cemetery.
