Cynthia Hoffmann and Michael Hurley

Mr and Mrs Charles Hoffmann of Eden Hill Road, Newtown, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Cynthia, to Michael Hurley, son of Mr and Mrs Thomas Hurley of Sutton, Dublin, Ireland.

Ms Hoffman is a graduate of The Ursuline School in New Rochelle, N.Y. She attended Arizona State University as a varsity swimmer before graduating from Simmons College in Boston. She is presently employed by Morgan Stanley in Purchase, N.Y.

Mr Hurley attended Pobalscoil Neasain in Dublin, graduating with honors from Dun Laoghaire College, Dublin. He is presently employed by Sandler O’Neill in Manhattan.

A September wedding is planned in Newport, R.I.
