With a couple of divisions going to a playoff, the Leo Allen Junior Club Championship tournament at Rock Ridge Country Club on Monday turned into a pretty exciting affair.
With a couple of divisions going to a playoff, the Leo Allen Junior Club Championship tournament at Rock Ridge Country Club on Monday turned into a pretty exciting affair.
Some 160 kids participated in the junior golf program at Rock Ridge and most took to the links on Monday. Dan Curtis defeated Kevin OâConnell in a playoff in the 15-and-over boys (18 hole) division while Scott Caggainello defeated Casey Fuller in the 11-and-over boys (9-hole) division.
Rob Marona earned the title in the 14-and-under boys (18-hole) division while Jonathan Spicci captured the 10-and-under boys (9-hole) division and Emily Spicci earned first place in the 11-and-over girls (9-hole) divisions.
Dozens more participated in the 5-hole tournament.

The Rock Ridge Country Club swim team has been improving every year â and it shows as Caitlyn Linden (girls 8 and under 25 freestyle and girls 8 and under 25 butterfly) and Patrick Conte (boys 8 and under 25 backstroke) captured first-place finishes at the recent State Line Swimming Championships held at Masuk High School in Monroe.
