SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. — Celebrating its 25th anniversary year October 25–28, The San Francisco Fall Antiques Show Benefiting Enterprise for High School Students is the oldest continuously operating international antiques fair on the West Coast. The show at Fort Mason Center, Festival Pavilion, will include nearly 70 dealers from America and Europe, representing a broad range of styles and periods in North and South American, English, Continental and Asian furniture, ceramics, silver, glass, rugs, textiles, jewelry and fine art.

The show, was established in 1982 as the major fundraising effort for Enterprise, a nonprofit job referral and career development service serving thousands of San Francisco youth annually.

A preview party benefit gala with honorary chairs Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi and Paul Pelosi will take place Wednesday, October 24. A Connoisseurs and Collectors Circles reception will be at 4 pm, followed by an Aficionados and Enthusiasts Committees reception at 5 pm, and the preview party from 7 to 9 pm. Show hours will be Thursday to Saturday, 10 am to 7 pm, and Sunday, noon to 6 pm.

The show’s loan exhibition is “Taste for the Twentieth Century: Modern Design Classics from San Francisco Collections, 1900–1950.”

A lecture series will include talks by Jared Goss, associate curator of Nineteenth Century, Modern and Contemporary art, The Metropolitan Museum of Art; Martin Wood, author, John Fowler, Prince of Decorators; and James Zemaitis, senior vice president, director, Twentieth Century Design, Sotheby’s.
