CHEVY CHASE, MO. — The 47th annual Woman’s Club of Chevy Chase Antiques Show will be September 7–9.

The show is under the management of Armacost Antiques Shows. Mrs Patrick Taylor, Mrs Harleigh Ewell and Mrs Leon Bramson are co-chairs. Honorary co-chairs of the gala preview are Her Excellency Elena Poptodorova, ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria; Mrs Jackie King, wife of ambassador Michael King of Barbados; and Mrs Shahin Mafi, CEO, Health Care Connection, Inc. Show proceeds support local community service organizations.

Dealers from around the United States and abroad will offer American, English and Continental furniture and accessories; Chinese, English, French and American ceramics; silver; glass; jewelry; and more at the club’s facilities at 7931 Connecticut Avenue.

Special events include a gala preview party hosted by gala co-chair Mafi at her home in Potomac, Thursday, September 6, from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. A bus will be available for transportation from the Woman’s Club to Potomac. Tickets for the gala are $60 and include continuous antiques show admission.

Early buying hours are Thursday, September 6, from 3:30 to 5:30 pm, $25 per person.

Oral appraisals of antiques will be offered Saturday, September 8, from 10 to 11 am and Sunday from 11 am to noon. Appraisals will be $10 per item or $15 for two items. Saturday will also offer a complimentary wine and cheese event from 4 to 6 pm.
