Ann M. Traub, 80, wife of John E. Traub of Newtown, died August 19 at her home. Mrs Traub was born in Yonkers, N.Y., on January 24, 1927, a daughter of Edward S. and Margaret E. (Murphy) Combs. Mr and Mrs Traub were former residents of Bethlehem, Conn.

She was a resident of Newtown since 1969 and was employed as a supervisor for T.R. Paul, Inc until her retirement. Mrs Traub was a communicant of St Rose of Lima Parish and had been a religious education teacher.

In addition to her husband, survivors include two sons, James B. Traub and his wife, Alison, of Kewsick, Va., and Thomas E. Traub of West Palm Beach, Fla.; two granddaughters, Rory and Riley Traub; a brother, the Rev Gordon Combs, a Capuchin Franciscan Friar stationed at Oahu, Hawaii; and a sister, Joan Combs of Colorado. Two sisters, Ruth Dockal and Helen Combs, predeceased Mrs Traub.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St Rose of Lima Church at 10 am Friday, August 24. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery. Calling hours were scheduled at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Thursday evening, from 7 to 9 pm.
