ULSTER COUNTY ANTIQUES DEALERS FINALIZE PLANS FOR 2008 BROCHURE w/1 cut

HURLEY, N.Y. — A meeting of the Antiques Dealers Association of Ulster County took place at the Hurley Reform Church on October 23. The main event of the meeting was to discuss the 2008 Antiques Brochure for Ulster County. The members decided on a bright colored paper for next year’s brochure so it will stand out on brochure racks. This year’s brochure boasts 37 antiques dealers, plus numerous dealers in the antiques centers in the area.

The brochure is broken down into towns with a short explanation of what each shop carries. All members are out canvassing their towns for additional members, who have just entered into the antiques world. Hiring a webmaster for the association was also an important discussion during the meeting. The deadline to get into the 2008 antiques brochure is December 4.

The Antiques Dealers Association of Ulster County started 34 years ago. The brochures are distributed in three tourist information booths on the New York State Thruway Route 87, with 40,000 copies printed in 2007. The Ulster County Chamber of Commerce also hands them out in its packet.

For a brochure of all antiques dealers in Ulster County, write to Antiques Dealers of Ulster County, PO Box 246, Hurley NY 12443 or call Iris and Jonathan Oseas at 845-331-8852.
