avv/gs set 9/21 #712197

MILFORD, CONN. — The Meet the Artists and Artisans 45th annual fall show on the Milford Green will take place September 22–23, rain or shine.

More than 150 juried exhibitors from coast to coast will discuss and sell their original work. Chosen as one of the top 100 fine art shows in the United States by Sunshine Art magazine, the free event featuring new and seasoned participants from 20 states.

Watercolor miniature artist Greg Stones of Rhode Island returns with his new limited edition volume of Goodbye Penguins and his collection. Steve Brewster of Oklahoma brings back his immense handblown, hand carved, fused glass roundels, sculptures and fantasy tables.

Two blacksmiths will forge their iron and steel objects, both utilitarian and decorative. Michael McCarthy carves shore birds. Anne Viens demonstrates glass bead making for jewelry with her torch and kiln.

Carole Martin spins the wool she dyes, selling skeins and knit wear. Pat Zahoruiko builds furniture from the Vermont woodlands and forests, uniting wild branches and twigs with smooth barks and planed panels. Dan Welch uses Texan cedar for his hope chests, hutches, bookcases and bird homes.

The event will also feature painting, hand turned wood bowls and vessels, painted silk and linen apparel, children’s clothing, photography and jewelry.

Show hours are Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday 10 to 4. For information, www.meettheartistsandartisans.com or 203-874-5672.
