UConn Stamford Offers Free Lectures

STORRS — The University of Connecticut’s College of Continuing Studies will offer free lectures on a variety of professional development and self-enrichment topics, from the Internet to the environment, at 6 and 7 pm on Thursday, September 13, at UConn Stamford.

Lectures starting at 6 pm include “Internet for Kids,” “Dance for Kids,” “How to Write a Press Release,” and “Effectively Utilizing the Internet in Your Job Search.” A preview of UConn’s popular “Mini-Med School” will also be offered.

Lectures starting at 7 pm include “Getting to the Bottom of Long Island Sound,” “Entrepreneurship for Women,” “How to Unleash the Power of Your Software,” and “Living Life Easier on the Web.” Additional lectures will provide overviews of UConn’s Public Relations/Corporate Communications and Journalism certificate programs.
