Vito Rocco Dionisio, a longtime resident of Newtown, Conn., passed away on August 22, 2023, at the age of 90.

He was born in the Bronx, N.Y., the son of Joseph and Laura Dionisio.

Vito was a member of the Knights of Columbus and belonged to St Rose Church. He enjoyed watching the Yankees games with his wife, bowling, and spending quality time with his family.

He will be remembered for his contagious laugh, big smile, and warm heart. He will also be deeply missed and loved by his family and friends.

Vito is survived by his wife, Maria Dionisio, his children, Nick, Laura and Cristina, grandchildren, Nicole, Anthony, Danielle, and Elaina, and also by his great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Vito will be held Sunday, August 27, from 2 to 6 pm, at Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike in Monroe.

A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Monday, August 28, at 10:30 am at St Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, 46 Church Hill Road in Newtown. Burial to follow at St Raymond’s Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Avenue, Bronx, New York 10465.
