Don’t Get Gaslit

To the Editor:

Harris/Walz yard signs that read “we’re not going back.”

Going back to what?

Lower grocery prices?

Lower gas prices?

Lower inflation?

Record low unemployment in all races going back five decades?

Peace deals in the Middle East?

Secure border with less crime?

We have it so good here in America that people will get angry at others for “wrong think.”

There are people who live to be angry.

Do you think their “anger” is not organic and is coming from those with microphones gaslighting people on a daily basis?

What has Harris or Walz done to improve people’s lives? What are their records?

Biden said he would pick a black woman as his VP pick. That’s a decision not based on qualifications or experience. It doesn’t matter what anyone’s race or gender is in filling any role for any job. Be qualified, experienced and in it for the right reasons.

That’s it.

When you look for a doctor, why would that be any different?

When you want someone to work on your car or home, why would that be any different?

When you vote, why would that be any different?

It’s OK to question anything.

It’s OK to think independently.

It’s OK to not be gas lit.

Evil thrives on anger, don’t feed evil, we need more peace in life.

It’s not wise to make any decision when you’re angry or excited.

Push out all the distractions and stay away from group think.

Don’t get gaslit.

Choose the track record that benefited We The People and America.

    “Going back to what?”

    Respectfully,

We will not go back to a president that

disrespected our men and women in uniform (on many occasions),

    disrespected our fallen soldiers,

    disrespected our laws,

showed admiration for the world’s autocrats,

was found liable for rape (and there were so many other credible accusations),

fraternized with Jeffrey Epstein and rewarded his biggest enabler with a key cabinet position,

played down the oncoming pandemic (the main cause for the spikes in prices and crime that you mentioned),

said, “There are good people on both sides.” When speaking of those marching in Charlotte while screaming anti-Semitic remarks, and carrying swastikas,

lies, lies, lies, and lies (all documented and verified),

repeatedly asked his cabinet members to break the law,

had emotional outbursts over difficult questions,

tried to overturn a free and fair election, when he lost,

asked the Supreme Court to suspend the Constitution and install him as president,

has little understanding, or respect for the principles and values our country was founded on,

and has done many more awful things.

All these points are documented and can be easily found.

The many claims of economic and crime trends you mentioned are all important issues to the American people. Anyone should be encouraged to investigate the facts around those issues as well.

You are correct in stating that “Evil thrives on anger, don’t feed evil, we need more peace in life.”

Look at which campaign is based on joy, and which is based on grievance. Then the question may arise, who is doing the gaslighting?

So many debunked lies above. And all these lies are documented and easily found. But you have to turn off MSNBC (or MSDNC).

      1. graytiger says:

Nope Mr. Q guy, not MSNBC, but many sources including my own eyes and ears. But please educate us, with sources, on what is incorrect.

        1. qstorm says:

I see no sources for your points! Go to SNOPES and find some of the truth. And oh by the way, Charlottesville (in VA) not Charlotte (in NC). And SNOPES debunks the ‘good people on both sides’!

  2. qstorm says:

‘On May 9, 2023 declined to hold Trump liable for rape’ SNOPES
Trump vehemently denies that he once called service members “losers” and “suckers.” While it was certainly possible that he said those things, Snopes was unable to independently verify the claim.. SNOPES
BTW – The Atlantic, Politico, NY Times and Washington Post not to mention CNN, MSNBC, NPR are not reliable sources (Fox too I might add)

    1. graytiger says:

Mr. Q, You are right. I did mistype Charlotte instead of Charlottesville. Bravo for pointing that out.
Regarding his contempt for military members, you can dismiss any article that was vetted by fact checkers and editors (anything you don’t want to hear), but you can’t pretend he didn’t disparage the gold star family who criticized him, or berated John McCain for being captured. Did you read his official statement when Colin Powell died? Out of his own mouth he commented that soldiers that had TBIs, just had little headaches. You must have heard his recent comments about medal of honor recipients. Or the recent altercation his campaign staff had with military members as they disrespected the fallen buried at Arlington. But Snopes can’t prove one allegation by an unnamed source, so none of it can be true.

      1. qstorm says:

Again lots of ‘misinformation’ here and ‘unnamed sources’. I realize that the TDS is strong with folks who hated mean tweets. No sense in trying to counter folks who will not seek truth over the pablum they get from the MSN.

        1. graytiger says:

Q, Where is the misinformation? His statement on Colin Powell was right there in his own tweets (or Truth Social) for you to read. The statements on John McCain, soldiers with TBI, and Gold Star parents we’re right out of his mouth. You can find the clips. But you don’t want to hear any of it, so keep tossing around the canned thought stoppers: TDS, Orange Man BAD, he’s renting space in your head, mean tweets. Just the equivalent of a child putting his hands on his ears yelling “LA, LA,LA”.
