Harvest Feast Finalizes Waldorf School Summer Camp
After weeks of preparation, a harvest feast was held Friday, August 16, to mark the end of Housatonic Valley Waldorf School summer camp.
The summer camp at Housatonic Valley Waldorf School was offered for students between the ages of 3 and 12.
Family members were invited for the event, and food prepared by students was offered. At each table, settings were laid out, which included beeswax candles made by the students.
“It was great. There’s a lot of things they made just like this,” said handwork instructor Shari Lynn Kochman, regarding the candles.
Camp Director Carrie Reilly said the students learned a wide range of abilities during the camp. Each week offered a new theme, from planting and working in a garden to circus arts.
The camp was offered over a period of six weeks this year, and Ms Reilly said it went well.
