What Danbury Tastes

(And Sounds) Like

DANBURY — CityCenter Danbury and Danbury Downtown Council will present the 22nd annual Taste of Danbury on Saturday and Sunday, September 6-7, on the Danbury Green.

There will be food from many area restaurants, crafts, a kid’s fun run, information booths, entertainment, and many activities for children and adults to enjoy during the two day festival. Saturday will run from noon until 10 pm, and will launch with opening ceremonies to include the national anthem led by Curtis T, a color guard performance, cheerleaders, and a martial arts demonstration.

There will also be an ongoing exhibition bike show in the Zero Gravity parking lot, less than a block away from the green at 8 Delay Street. From 2 to 8 on Saturday there will be a classic car show in the adjacent parking lot behind Ventura Ribeiro & Smith

Sunday’s festival hours will be noon to 7 pm.

The featured entertainer for Taste of Danbury this year is Blue Oyster Cult who will perform on Saturday at 8 pm and a matinee performance on Sunday at 2. This will be a free outdoor concert, so bring chairs (or rent one) to enjoy the show.

In addition there will be performances by local musicians including Curtis T, Jerry Brown, Gunsmoke, and The Dave Powers Band before the Blue Oyster Cult show on Saturday, and sets by Whitewood (before Blue Oyster Cult), then Jerry Brown, and Dr Ya Ya’s Gumbo Party on Sunday.

Booth Space Available

Booth spaces are still available for non-profit organizations, businesses and restaurants available to anyone who would like to participate.
