School Water Contaminated

On August 7, coliform bacteria was found in Head O’ Meadow School drinking-water well, according to Dom Posca, school buildings and grounds supervisor. The wells were chlorinated that day, he said.

The results of a new test returned August 20 revealed that there was still coliform present in the water supply. The wells have since been chlorinated a second time. The school administration will provide bottled water until the problem is resolved upon retesting in mid-September, according to Mr Posca.
