Flea Market By Congregational Church

Newtown Congregational Church is planning a flea market to raise funds for its building expansion project, which is currently underway.

The Newtown Congregational Church Fun-Raising Committee will host the sale on Saturday, August 30. The sale will run from 9 am to 4 pm, with set-up beginning at 7 am. Admission is free.

There will be plenty of tag sale items, tag sale items, antiques, crafters, local businesses, organizations, and refreshment/baked goods tables. Games and entertainment for children are also being planned.

The flea market will be on the soccer fields at Fairfield Hills, off Wassermann Way in Newtown; signs will be posted around town and near the exit ramps of I-84.

A limited number of spaces are still available. Cost is $35 each.

The event is being planned to coincide with the opening day of C.H. Booth Library’s Annual Book Sale, a day know to bring hundreds of people into town. The flea market will be set up within walking distance of the book sale’s location.

For additional information or to reserve a space call Barbara Field at 426-4174 or Newtown Congregational Church’s office, 426-9024.
