Beloved Son
James John Czel, Jr, 34, of Newtown, died unexpectedly August 15, at home. Born October 8, 1974, in Norwalk, he is the son of Marjorie Keegan of Newtown and James John Czel, Sr, of Bethel.
Mr Czel graduated from Joel Barlow High School in Redding in 1992 and attended Western Connecticut State University in Danbury. He was a member of the Joel Barlow High School Select Choir and traveled to Rome to sing for Pope John Paul II. He also played Officer Krupsky in the school production of West Side Story.
He worked for Stew Leonardâs Dairy Store, and later in telecommunications for both FCI and Comcast Cable Company in Danbury.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings Gregory Czel of Waterbury, and Kathleen and Joseph Czel of Bethel; his maternal grandmother, Edith Bucknam of Rowayton; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Calling hours were scheduled for Thursday, August 20, from 4 to 8 pm, at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk. Services were scheduled for 10 am, Friday, August 21, in the funeral home. Internment will follow in Bald Hill Cemetery in Wilton.
