CCA10 At JCCS
SHERMAN â Connecticut Clay Artists will celebrate their tenth anniversary of presenting shows at The Jewish Community Center Sherman with an exhibition by 14 professional artists who work in clay. The special event will run from Friday, August 21, through Sunday, August 23 only.
Newtown artist Karen Pinto will again be among those with works on view, as will Stephen Becroft, Monique Brooks, Paula Cook, Sue Ann Heller, Katie Tynan Helu, Joyce James, Sarah Koster, Rosalind Liljengren, Annette Morasco Marcus, Paula Sibrack, MarianHannes Overgard , Peggy Thomas and Lynne White.
The exhibition will include wheel thrown and hand built functional and decorative stoneware, earthenware, raku and porcelain. There will also be screenings of ceramic videos from around the world.
The show will open with a festival wine and cheese opening with the artists on Friday from 5 to 7 pm. Gallery hours for Saturday and Sunday will then be 10 am to 4 pm both days.
