KidsFit Looks Ahead To Fall
KidsFit Looks Ahead To Fall
Last week children from three to eight years old blasted into orbit for KidsFit Space Camp, where they learned how to be fit and healthy astronauts and had a special week with Captain T Star.
The program, run by Heather Law, features aerobic conditioning, gymnastics, tumbling, ballet, coordination, and strength building skills combined with the message that âFit kids are happy kids.â
With summer nearly over, the children finished their summer fitness camp as they geared up for the school year. Being fit and healthy is part of the every day routine, according to Mrs Law.
KidsFit classes will be offered in the fall. Registration cannot be postmarked before September 15. Newtown Parks and Recreation has registration information that will be posted in The Bee in the near future.
This fallâs classes will include 45 minute classes that meet weekly for children who are walkers to four years old and their moms, dads, or adult friends to explore perceptual motor themes through circle time, rhythm equipment, tumbling apparatus, and parachute time.
Classes from children three to eight years old will be held weekly. They will be filled with aerobic dance, fitness training, gymnastics, ballet, and tumbling. Children will learn the importance of having a healthy heart and the value of fitness training. A Holiday Show is presented at the end of the fall session to help build the childrenâs stage presence.
