A Great Community Service

To the Editor:

On Tuesday, August 14, around 6:30 pm there was a lightning strike at Walnut Tree Village. The Sandy Hook, Newtown Hook and Ladder, and Hawleyville firefighters arrived immediately and did a marvelous job by containing the fire damage to two units of six.

We want to thank Fire Chief Halstead and all volunteers who are performing a great community service.
