Katherine âKayteâ Kokoski of Newtown, daughter of Nancy Schreiner of Newtown and Peter Kokoski of Southbury, and stepdaughter of John Schreiner of Newtown, and Benjamin John Stochmal III, son of Sandra and Benjamin Stochmal, all of Seymour, have been joined in marriage.
The couple had a civil ceremony performed at The Pleasance in Newtown by LeReine Frampton on April 10, 2010; a Catholic ceremony at St Michaels Church in Derby followed on July 16, with the Reverend Stanley Stanisvewski, CM, officiating. The bride was given in marriage by both her father and her stepfather. The reception was held at the Waterview in Monroe
Matron of honor was Nicole McDonald of Seymour, with Rebecca Stochmal, sister of the groom, and Andrea Cereiva of Brooklyn, Conn., serving as bridesmaids.                                     Â
The groomâs brother William served as best man; Justin Harding of Oxford and Wayne Pelleteir of Seymour and the brideâs brothers Robert Kokoski and Harrison Schreiner were the ushers.
A Newtown High School Class of 2006 graduate, Kayte was employed by The Childrenâs Adventure Center in Sandy Hook as a teacherâs aid for the last three years, while taking classes in early childhood education at Naugatuck Valley Community Collage and Post.
Ben graduated from Seymour High School in 2003, and received a degree in conservation from Unity College in 2007. He is currently an airborne soldier in the US Army at Fort Richardson, Alaska, specializing in computer detection systems.
Following a honeymoon on Block Island, R.I., the couple settled in Anchorage, Alaska, where Ben is expected to be stationed at Fort Richardson for the next three years, and Kayte will continue her education.
