No surprise here, but the Rising Stars Summer Basketball League has been hit pretty hard by summer rains and has had several postponements.

League director John Quinn was forced to revamp the remaining schedule and, thus, has extended the season by an extra week. In the process, he has also inserted make-up dates on Friday, August 20;l Monday, August 23; and Wednesday, August 25.

Both Thursday and Friday, August 26 and 27, have been set aside as potential make-up nights should rain force more postponements.

The playoffs are now set to begin on Wednesday and Thursday, September 1 and 2, with the championship game to follow on Friday, September 3, at 6:45 pm. An All-Star game has been added on Friday, September 3, to tip off at 5:30 pm.

Here is the schedule –

August 20: Duke vs North Carolina and Syracuse vs UCLA.

August 23: Syracuse vs UConn and North Carolina vs Providence.

August 25: UConn vs Duke and North Carolina vs UCLA

August 26: Rain

August 27: Rain

August 30: North Carolina vs UConn and Syracuse vs Providence

August 31: UConn vs Syracuse and Providence vs Duke

September 1: Playoffs

September 3: All Star Game and Championship Game
