Bus Trip To Quilt Show
Newtown-based quilter Mary Eddy is coordinating a bus trip to the 2004 Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza, taking place at the Fort Washington Expo Center in Fort Washington, Penn., from September 16-19.
Ms Eddyâs trip will be Friday, September 17. There are 56 seats available on the bus, which will depart from Danbury Fair Mall at 7:15 am sharp.
Tickets are $35 per person and reservations must be received by August 31.
Participants should bring their own lunch. Dinner will be eaten out.
The show is one of the largest and most prominent textile arts events on the East Coast under one roof. The quilt competition features entries from across the country in traditional and contemporary styles. There will also be over 500 quilts and garments presented gallery style, plus more than 200 vendors booths with everything from completed quilts and garments to supplies and equipment used in the making of quilts.
