Rotary Golf Classic Scheduled For September 12

The Newtown Rotary Club will hold its annual Jim Osborne Memorial Golf Classic, Monday, September 12, at Tashua Knolls Golf Club in Trumbull.

“This is the Rotary Club’s major fundraising event each year,” said club President Pat Caruso. “Our primary focus in running this golfing event is to support many of the nonprofit organizations in Newtown that do so much for those who are less fortunate. Plus it’s just great fun!”

The Golf Classic includes the round of golf, plus lunch, cocktails, and dinner, followed by an auction and raffle. The cost is $175 per person.

“We are especially pleased to announce that Mike Snyder will be the Honorary Chairman of the Osborne Golf Classic this year,” added Mr Caruso. “Mike has done so much for Newtown over the years. We felt that this was a nice way to recognize his contributions to the community and to say thanks.”

The Newtown Rotary Club comprises men and women who are in business and professions in the local community. Their efforts and belief in the concept of “Service Above Self” provide support for many organizations and individuals to have a better life. Newtown Rotary meets every Monday, at 6 pm, at The Inn at Newtown.
