Bent Wins Age Group In Triathlon

Newtown’s Joshua Bent placed first for ages 11-12, and second for ages 11-14, at the Sandy Beach Youth Triathlon in Morris on August 6, with a combined time of 24:52. Bent swam 150 yards., biked three miles, and ran one mile to complete the race. He participated in a triathlon camp this summer that was run by Jeromie Schumacher at Edgewood Bath & Tennis in Middlebury, to help him prepare for the race.
