Supporting The Children’s Medical Center

To the Editor:

After a hot weekend of holding the tag sale to benefit Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, we want to say we are so grateful to the many who helped us exceed expectations for the fundraising event: The Newtown Bee and Kaaren Valenta for writing such a great article covering our story; many friends and neighbors who donated items toward the sale and allowed us to offer great items; thanks to those who bought painted rocks and lots of lemonade from the kids and gave spare change; it all adds up.

A very special thank you to the couple and their black dog who came and made a very generous donation to the hospital. Your generosity is so greatly appreciated and your warmth and compassion are overwhelming. It was inspiring to meet you and I hope our paths cross again.

Thanks to all who’s generosity has aided Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in helping our children.
