Health Fair Set For Sept. 24

The 10th annual Great American Health and Public Safety Fair is scheduled for 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday, September 24, at the Newtown Middle School on Queen Street. Admission is free.

 This year’s fair will include many regular favorites as well as several new health practitioners, including a skin cancer screening, and alternative health information and ideas. There will be more than 50 exhibitors this year.

There will be poster contests for school children in grades 1–6. Applications will be sent home with children through the schools.

The Newtown Chamber of Commerce will give away a mountain bike provided at cost by World of Bikes. The drawing is open to everyone. The bike will be an appropriate size for the winner.

The health fair co-chairpersons are Health District Director Donna Culbert, Dr Della Schmid, and Mae Schmidle. Call Ms Culbert at 270-4291 to reserve a booth for the fair.
