Official results of the August 11, 2020 Democratic and Republican Presidential Preference Primaries in Newtown have been returned by the Head Moderator.

In the Democratic Primary, 1,849 votes were by absentee, 465 were cast at the polling place, Newtown High School:

In the Republican Primary, 541 were by absentee, 618 were cast at the polling place, Newtown High School:
