Criminal Attempt
About 1 am August 17, police investigated a report of a suspicious person who was outside the home of a 14-year-old girl on Sugar Street.
Police said that suspicious person turned out to be a 17-year-old boy who had previously been arrested on a risk of injury to a minor charge in connection with his contact with that girl.
Police then charged the loitering boy with criminal attempt to commit criminal trespassing and with criminal attempt to commit risk of injury to a minor.
Police transported the boy to the police station where he was held overnight on $10,000 bail for an appearance later that day in Danbury Youthful Offender Court. Because the boy is under age 18, state law shields his identity.
DUI Arrest
About 11:30 am on August 16, police spotted a 1994 Nissan Altima traveling eastward on Church Hill Road with a broken taillight, so they stopped it to investigate.
After giving motorist Klever Tello, 31, of Danbury field sobriety tests, police charged him with driving under the influence, driving while under suspension, and driving without a taillight.
After processing, police released Tello on $70 bail for a September 1 court appearance.

Police report a two-vehicle collision involving trucks on South Main Street about 2:30 pm August 15.
Northbound motorist Gaetano Carrara, 65, of Bridgeport, who was driving a Ford truck/trailer combination, slowed to turn right into a parking lot at 259 South Main Street, and was struck from behind by northbound motorist Craig Chapman, 22, of Shelton, who was driving a Dodge pickup truck, police said.
There were no injuries. Police issued Chapman a written warning for following too closely.
