Back-To-School Shopping Made Easier For All

DANBURY — Back-to-School time already. Where does the summer go?

While there is no definite answer to that timeless question, The Educational Warehouse® has the answer when it comes to getting ready for school. For teachers and students alike, Educational Warehouse is one of the best local resources for bulletin board sets, fadeless papers, trim, banners, workbooks, manipulatives, while-you-wait lamination services and more.

“It’s an easy store to shop in and our staff speaks teachers’ language,” says manager Don Markowsky. “We know what they need and we have it.”

This unique store is located at 72 Newtown Road and is open to the public.

Parents will find all the school supplies they could ever imagine, and the store is a great place to find birthday gifts that entertain and teach.

Children are encouraged to interact with their surroundings at Educational Warehouse, where the policy is definitely Please Touch.

Educational Warehouse has two programs that benefit organizations and individuals.

The first program, Shop Night, is an alternative to candy and gift wrap sales to benefit a school, religious organization or club. The host of the Shop Night designates a particular date for their families or members to shop in the store. At the end of the event, a rebate for ten percent of the total pre-tax purchases is awarded to the host group.

“It’s such a great way to raise money,” says Danbury Store Manager Donald Markowsky, adding, “with the proper notification and promotion of the Shop Night within a group, people will plan to make purchases they needed to make anyway, knowing that they are also helping their cause.”

The Hawley School PTO, The Children’s Adventure Center and Head O’ Meadow School all hosted Shop Nights during the 2005-06 school year.

Educational Warehouse makes the whole process easy, catering even to those who have never run a fundraiser before.

The Reward Card Program allows you to earn credit as you shop. A customer simply provides their email address and is given a small tag for their keychain bearing their own, personal account number.

For each $10 spent before tax, the system awards one point to the account. For every ten points, a $15 coupon is issued to the customer via email.

“It’s fun to receive a substantial reward so quickly,” said Frank Tomiello, vice president. “Especially during Back-to-School and the holidays, the points will add up rapidly.”
