Antiques Week In New Hampshire Draws Crowds

MANCHESTER/CONCORD, N.H. — If there is one time during the summer months when antique-minded people look forward to going to shows, it is for Antiques Week in New Hampshire. This year some changes took place, with two shows moving to Concord and a new show added to the list of places to be. True to form, the crowds were there, as witnessed by these photos.

A look at what was inside the building will be coming shortly. Stay tuned.

CUTLINES

The line went across the front of the JFK Coliseum and down the side for the 3 pm opening on Wednesday, August 8, of the newest show in town, Antiques in Manchester, The Collector’s Fair, managed by Karen DiSaia of DiSaia Management.

They came running at the 8 am early buying for Nan Gurley’s Americana Celebration on Tuesday, August 7, at the Deerfield Fairgrounds. The group split at the first junction, so this shows only about half of the first wave to leave the starting blocks.

The line started forming before 4 am on Thursday, August 9, for the 55th Annual New Hampshire Antiques Show at the Radisson Hotel in Manchester. By opening time at 10 am, the lobby was filled to capacity and the line went out onto the sidewalk and down the side of the hotel.

The move to Concord did not slow down the gate at Mid-Week Antiques Show, the two-day event managed by Frank Gaglio of Barn Star Productions. The line covered the distance of both the front and the side of the Douglas N. Everett Arena for the opening on Wednesday, August 8, at 9 am.

People returned to the Everett Arena on Friday, August 10, for the 10 am opening of Pickers Market Antiques Show under Frank Gaglio and Barn Star Productions management. Again the line went across the front of the building and down the side.
