Amber Alert ID Session Was A Success
Amber Alert ID Session
Was A Success
To the Editor:
Little Explorers of Newtown would like to thank everyone who made Saturdayâs Amber Alert ID Session such a success! Over 50 families came out to have their children registered into the Amber Alert system and went home with ID cards for their children. Special thanks go out to the Rotary Club of Danbury who provided us with all the Amber Alert equipment and ran the registration process with such wonderful organization and ease. We know the families who came to take advantage of this service were greatly appreciative!
We would also like to thank the Sandy Hook Volunteer Firefighters who donated their time and opened up their fire engine to the children. The kids definitely loved getting the opportunity to climb aboard the engine and experience what it is like to be a real firefighter!
We also thank Officer Figol of the Newtown Police K9 unit for doing her best to get here for the event. We appreciate that you are busy and thank you for being a part of Saturdayâs event. And finally we want to thank Wells Fargo and Caraluzziâs for sponsoring the event and making it possible. Due to the success of the event, we are hoping to make it an annual thing for the families of Newtown and the community. Hope to see you all next year!
