Anda Styler At Next SCAN Meeting

Anda Styler of Sherman will demonstrate how to paint a landscape in acrylics at the next afternoon meeting of The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown (SCAN).

The program is planned for Wednesday, August 22, at 1:30 pm, at Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street. All are welcome and admission is free.

The Art Collector magazine featured Ms Styler’s work in its June issue this year with a double page spread. A summer show at the Granary Gallery on Martha’s Vineyard opened on July 9, showing 15 of her paintings, And here in Connecticut she has a one-person show at the PS Gallery in Litchfield running until August 26.

 Her work is well received because she connects to the viewer with mood and atmosphere. She captures the light in a landscape and using reality, bold color and imagination brings her picture to life.

Ms Styler received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Parsons in NYC. She has won numerous awards for her work, most recently second place in the Northlight Cover Competition for their catalog of books.
