Clinic For Novices
The Fairfield County Fish and Game Protective Association, located off Hammertown Road in Newtown, played host to its first follow-on shooting clinic for women last Saturday. The even was a continuation of Womenâs Sports Day, which was held June 10 and served to introduce many women to sport shooting.
The clinic focused on shotgun target shooting and provided the women attendees with a three-hour personalized, hands-on lesson with experienced shotgun instructors.
The focus was on safety and basics for beginner shooters. Each of the women expressed how important it was to receive an opportunity to continue to learn shotgun target shooting, and to have the lesson conducted in a safe, women-friendly environment.
At the end of the clinic, a fun competition was held with lucky Sonia Koziol winning a personal shotgun lesson with Griffin & Howeâs head shoot coach, Paul Smith.
As an internationally known coach, Mr Smith offers key insights for the beginner and an exciting opportunity to learn from this prestigious shooting company.
Additional clinics for beginner women to learn shotgun shooting will be conducted in September.
