Pauline Fazio, 82, died August 13, with her family by her side, in Danbury. Pauline grew up in Keene, New Hampshire. She married her late husband, Joseph, and lived in Newtown for more than 50 years.

She loved Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune (and would be so pleased with the recent host choices that they made).

She was a champion for her family and instilled the very best core values in each of us. Her sense of humor and smile brightened our days.

The laughter from our most recent family reunions will carry us forward and always remind us of her unconditional love, silliness, and great meatballs.

She will be missed and is survived by her son Carl Fazio (wife Helena, grandson Alex); son Paul Fazio; daughter Jodi McPherson (husband John, granddaughter Caleigh and grandson Owen); sister Joan Gallup; brother Joe Gallup (wife Trudy); and sister Melinda Galloway.

Friends may call at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, on Wednesday, August 18, from 4 to 7 pm.

A prayer service will be held on Thursday, August 19, at 10:30 am, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Newtown.
