Tanya Christine Sokolowski and Leonard Anthony LaBonia were joined in marriage on June 29 at St Peter Church, Danbury, with the Rev Michael Madden officiating.
The bride is the daughter of John and Christine Sokolowski of Southbury.
The groom is the son of Leonard and Sue LaBonia of North Haven.
The bride wore a white Amy Yen dress of Italian silk with a beaded and embroidered bodice. She carried a hand-held bouquet of white, pink, yellow, and red roses, green vibernum, and hydrangea.
Her maid of honor was her sister, Donna Sokolowski of Southbury.
The bridesmaids were Kristen Cyr and Jennifer Dusiewicz, cousins of the bride, Stacey Carroccio, Heidi Ginicola, Chrissy Laedke, Dawn DeLuca, Kate Manning, and Emily Colon.
The bridal attendants wore patina green Jim Hjelm dresses, and carried hand-held bouquets of white, pink, yellow, and red roses with green vibernum and hydrangea.
The best man was Christopher LaBonia, the groomâs brother.
The ushers were John Sokolowski, the brideâs brother, Steve Camara, Christian Carroccio, David Barone, Robert Labanara, John Alves, Andrew Mouradian, and Thomas Collins.
The bride graduated from Pomeraug High School in Southbury, Western Connecticut State University with a bachelor of business administration in marketing, and the University of Bridgeport with a master of science in elementary education. She is a first grade teacher at Middle Gate Elementary School in Newtown.
The groom graduated from North Haven High School and Western Connecticut State University with a bachelor of science in justice and law, and is currently attending Western for a masterâs degree. He is a police officer in Danbury.
The reception was held at Fox Hill Inn in Brookfield.
Following a wedding trip to Italy, France, and Spain, Mr and Mrs LaBonia are residing in Danbury.
