Through Jan 1, “Dinosaurs & Sea Creatures,” special exhibit of moving, roaring, life-sized robotic beasts incl T-rex, Triceratops & Thalassomedon, also hands-on Fossil Lab. Through March 15, “Sounds of the Sea,” explore the “surprising symphony” of animal, natural & manmade sounds beneath the ocean surface through audio samplers & computer echolocation game, et al. Permanent exhibit featuring river otters Bell & Sprite; Shark Touch Pool; hands-on displays about fish; “Sandy Shore” habitat; “Jellyfish Encounter,” displays about & close studies of sea creature common to Long Island Sound. Through Sept 30, “Functional… Fancy… Baskets!,” over 300 baskets ranging in date to 18th Century, examples of work baskets (created for specific uses) and decorative vessels.
